Palestine: 61 Palestinians killed, 162 injured by Israeli bombardments in Gaza
London, (The Muslim News): At least 61 more Palestinians were killed and 162 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate bombings in the Gaza Strip, in the last 48 hours, raising the overall death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces to 40,939, including 16,479 children and 94,616 others injured since October 7, 2023, according to the Health Ministry in the enclave on Saturday.
Another child, identified as Yaqin al-Asṭal from Khan Younis, has died of malnutrition amid Israel’s continued blocking of aid to Gaza Strip.
The governor of Nablus says the autopsy of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, proves that she was shot by an Israeli sniper at a protest against illegal Israeli settlements near Beita in the occupied West Bank yesteday.
Israel said it attacked Halimah al-Saadiyah School in northern Gaza, where eight Palestinians were reported killed in tent shelters. Five people were also killed in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

An Israeli airstrike on a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza City resulted in the killing of at least four Palestinians and injuries to others this afternoon, according to local sources.
The sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the Amr Ibn Al-As School, located in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City. The strike led to the killing of four civilians and injured 25 others.
Earlier today, two civilians were killed and others were injured, including children in Israeli airstrikes on the northern and central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that two people were killed and others were injured as a result of the Israeli army’s shelling of a residential apartment in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, at least 33 civilians were injured following the occupation’s artillery shelling of the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli warplanes intensively targeted the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. Meanwhile, the artillery shelling was renewed on the east of the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
In Gaza City, local sources reported that a missile raid targeted a residential apartment of the Awadallah family in the Al-Gharbawi building in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, in the north of Gaza City, which resulted in the killing of a child.
In the center of the Strip, Israeli raids targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Bureij camp, which resulted in the the killing of four civilians and the injury of 10 others, including children.
At least 11 Palestinians were killed and 30 others, including children, were injured on Saturday as Israeli forces targeted homes and civilians in central and northern Gaza Strip, sources and witnesses said.
Medical sources at the Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza told Anadolu Agency that five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a civilian gathering in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza.
Mahmoud Bassal, the spokesperson for Gaza’s civil defense, said six Palestinians, including a child and a woman, were killed in strikes on Gaza City and the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Separately, witnesses said Israeli artillery targeted populated areas in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, injuring dozens of civilians including children. At least 30 people were injured in the attack, according to medical sources.

Meanwhile, iIllegal Israeli Jewish settlers demolished 47 agricultural structures and homes last week in the Taybe area in the west of Hebron in the southern West Bank, Palestinians reported on Saturday.
The destruction was discovered by the Palestinians upon their return to their properties after being barred from accessing them by Israeli forces since early September, following a shooting incident that killed three police officers near the Turmus Ayya checkpoint.
Mohammed Tneina, one of the Palestinians affected by the demolitions, reported extensive damage to his home, his grape vineyard, and a water tank used for irrigation.
“Illegal settlers took advantage of the Israeli military’s closure of roads leading to the Taybe area to carry out these acts of vandalism and destruction,” he told Anadolu.
Tneina pointed out that the affected structures were licensed by the Turmus Ayya municipality, yet the Israeli forces regularly prevent farmers from accessing their lands.
He noted that illegal settlers from the illegal Adora and Tene settlements, located east of Turmus Ayya, are responsible for such attacks on farmers.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, illegal settlers killed 19 Palestinians, injured over 785 others, and displaced 28 Bedouin communities since Oct. 7, 2023.
In May, the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem revealed a plan by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to expel Palestinian farmers and shepherds from their land in the occupied West Bank, in collaboration with illegal settlers. This was described as part of an “Israeli apartheid system.”
Israeli estimates suggest that over 720,000 illegal settlers live in illegal settlements across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
A Palestinian girl was killed by Israeli army gunfire Friday in the northern occupied West Bank.
The death came hours after the killing of a Turkish-American activist.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported the death of Bana Amjad Bakar Laboum, 13, and said she was killed by Israeli forces in Qaryut, south of Nablus.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that teams transported Bana, who had been shot in the chest.
Paramedic Youssef Dayriah from the town of Aqraba told Anadolu that the girl was shot in the heart while looking out of a window at her family’s home.
He noted her injuries coincided with attacks by the army and illegal settlers in the village.
Clashes erupted between Israeli forces and residents in Qaryut following Friday prayers, during which the army used live ammunition, sound bombs and tear gas.
Earlier Friday, Turkish American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi was killed by Israeli soldiers in the town of Beita, in Nablus.
Fouad Nafea, director of Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus, told Anadolu that she arrived at the facility with a head wound from gunfire. Despite efforts to resuscitate her, she did not survive.
Witnesses previously reported to Anadolu that Israeli forces fired live fire at Palestinians participating in a protest against settlement expansion in Beita.
At least 691 victims have since been killed and more than 5,700 injured by Israeli fire in the West Bank since October 7, according to the Health Ministry.
Early on Friday, medical sources reported that 18 Palestinians, including four children, were killed in airstrikes by Israeli warplanes targeting the central Gaza Strip, with one of the strikes hitting tents set up for displaced persons in what the Israeli military claims a “humanitarian safe zone.”
At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7.
