The highly anticipated fight goes down on Saturday, Sept. 30. Here’s how you can watch and stream the fight.

It is official! Canelo Álvarez will face Jermell Charlo in what promises to be an exciting fight night. The stage? The iconic T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The date? September 30th. And guess what? It’s broadcasted LIVE on SHOWTIME PPV at 9 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Alvarez, the super middleweight world title holder, will attempt to defend his undisputed title against undisputed middleweight world champion Charlo.

Now, if you’re a boxing fan, you already know Canelo’s illustrious career. At just 33, he’s defended his WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO super middleweight world titles like a champ. Charlo,

the undisputed junior middleweight world kingpin, is no pushover. He’s taking a bold leap, aiming to emulate legends like Sugar Ray Leonard by jumping two weight categories to snatch a world title. It’s the first fight between two undisputed champions in the four-belt era.

Arguably the biggest star in boxing at present, Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring at the end of September to defend his titles against Jermell Charlo.

Canelo was initially tipped to fight Charlo’s twin brother Jermall, but the Iron Man is stepping up two weight divisions to have his chance of adding the super-middleweight crown to his undisputed super-welterweight champion haul.

When is Canelo vs. Charlo?

Canelo will return to Las Vegas following victory in his home nation in May. The Mexican has made Sin City his home in recent years and will return to the T-Mobile Arena, where he defeated Gennady Golovkin this time last year.

The fight occurs on Saturday, September 30, with the main ringwalk expected at around 8pm local time. For UK viewers, you can expect to see the main event at around 4am on Sunday, October 1.

It’s a big step up for Charlo against one of the sport’s legends, but Canelo has tasted defeat, and quite recently, losing to Dmitry Bivol in May 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena. The Mexican also suffered defeat a decade ago as he was beaten by a majority decision against the great Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Charlo has just one defeat on his record, when in 2018 he lost by a unanimous decision to Tony Harrison. However, he followed that up with a knockout win a year later in the rematch to win the WBC light middleweight title.

Canelo has reportedly signed a three-fight deal with Al Haymon’s PBC worth over $100million that will see him box under the guidance of the influential American advisor for the next 18 months.

The Mexican was tipped to take on Jermall Charlo but instead is fighting his twin brother Jermell who is the undisputed super-welterweight champion.

‘Iron Man’, who is jumping up two weight divisions for this bout, defended his titles last year by beating Brian Carlos Castano and he has only ever lost once throughout his career.

The rumors about me losing my edge don’t bother me. I recognize my shortcomings in my previous fights . I’ve evolved and am gearing up for a novel style of combatant.

This bout has my undivided attention. Post this, we’ll see where the wind takes us. People crave for theatrics on stages like these, but when two warriors are laser-focused, it assures an epic

An epic fight week is upon us. The eyes of the sporting world descend on Las Vegas this week with a never-before-seen showdown set to headline inside the T-Mobile Arena. Canelo Alvarez puts his undisputed super middleweight crown on the line once again, but it’s the opponent that creates a unique headlining opportunity. The decorated Mexican champion is set to take on undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo in the first four-belt vs. four-belt battle on the men’s side.

Charlo earned undisputed status at 154 pounds in his last outing when he scored a TKO of Brian Castano in May 2022. The bout was a rematch from their 2021 encounter that ended in a disputed draw that many believe Castano had done enough to win. Charlo is unbeaten in his last five fights since losing a decision to Tony Harrison in 2019.
