Gaza: 52 Palestinians killed, 95 injured by Israeli bombings last 24hrs
(Wafa, AA): According to the Ministry of Health, 52 Palestinians were killed and 95 others injured by indiscriminate bombings by Israeli Defence Forces in Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours. This brings total Palestinians killed by Israeli forces to at least 33,686, including 14,520 children and 9,560 women and 76,309 injured in Gaza Strip since 7 October.
Five people have been killed and more than 30 injured in latest Israeli attack on central Gaza City, according to the enclave’s civil defence.
Almost a score of Palestinians were killed and others were wounded in a series of Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central blockaded Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli warplanes targeted a house of the Qashlan family in the New Camp of Nuseirat, causing it to collapse over the heads of its occupants and killing them.
The bodies of three occupants, namely Salah, Yasmin and Hanan Qashlan, were recovered from the wreckage, as the bodies of other occupants remain buried under the rubble.
Israeli airstrikes also targeted several houses, including a house of the Tawil family, and the Hirzallah Tower, in the camp, killing three occupants.
This came as Israeli fighter jets bombed the vicinity of Sheikh Zayed Towers in the northern Strip and artillery targeted the east of al-Bureij refugee camp.
Meanwhile, Ambulances and rescue teams managed to recover the bodies of 13 people from the rubble of destroyed buildings across Khan Younes city in the southern Strip.
Two Palestinian civilians were killed last night in an Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes launched intensive airstrikes on the neighborhoods of Zeitoun and Daraj in Gaza City, as well as on the area of Al-Fakhari southeast of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip.
Additionally, the Israeli artillery shelled eastern areas of Jabalia, north of the Strip, as well as northern areas of Nusseirat and the central areas of the enclave.
On Friday evening, an Israeli airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Al-Assi family in Zarqa in center of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of at least five civilians and the injury of 30 others.
Meanwhile, several civilians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, while warplanes raided a house belonging to the Abu Sameh family at Makki roundabout in the Maghazi refugee camp .
Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike on Deir al-Balah in the central strip, while civil defense and ambulance crews managed to retrieve the bodies of 10 civilians from various areas in Khan Younis city to the south.
Israeli tanks and military vehicles raided a house belonging to the Abu Sameh family, on the Mekki roundabout in the Maghazi camp in the central Strip.
Earlier this morning, the Israeli warplanes launched intense air raids on Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip. Civil defense and ambulance crews were able to recover the bodies of 10 people from various areas in the city of Khan Yunis in the south.
An overnight Israeli attack has destroyed a mosque and also damaged nearby houses in Deir el-Balah, in central Gaza.
Abu Bakr as-Siddiq is one of more than 1,200 mosques that have been wrecked during Israel’s war on Gaza.
Meanwhile, a massive rally was held in London, UK, on Saturday to protest Israeli attacks and demand an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip

Thousands of protesters gathered in central Russell Square as part of the Day of Action for Palestine, in solidarity with Gaza where more than 33,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since Oct. 7, 2023.
Carrying Palestinian flags, the protesters called for an immediate cease-fire in the blockaded territory, and criticized the UK’s stance on Israel.
“Free Palestine,” and “Stop the genocide” were two of the many slogans chanted by pro-Palestine protesters during the march that continued towards Parliament Square.
Along the march route, a small group of pro-Israeli protesters also staged a demonstration, while many Jewish protesters from various groups participated in the pro-Palestine march to say “not in our name.”
The pro-Israeli group tried to provoke the pro-Palestine protesters, but police moved them away from the route.
According to Israeli government 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on 7 October in southern Israel and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
