Gaza: 37 Palestinians killed, 68 injured by Israeli bombings last 24hrs

Gaza City, (Wafa, AA, Al Jazeera): At least 37 more Palestinians were killed and 68 others injured over the last 24 hours by indiscriminate bombings by Israeli Defence Forces in Gaza Strip, Health Ministry said on Saturday. This brings total Palestinians killed by Israeli bombings since 7 October to 34,049, including 14,520 children and 10,000 women and 76,901 others injured, including 12,000 children in Gaza Strip, according to Ministry of Health.

Out of the women killed, 6.000 are mothers, whose deaths have left 19,000 orphans according to UN Women.

“Women who have survived Israeli bombardment and ground operations have been displaced, widowed, and facing starvation,” said the UN agency. “This devastating differentiated impact continues to make the war on Gaza also a war on women.”

Scores of Palestinian civilians today were killed and others wounded in Israeli aerial and artillery strikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Six children among at least nine people killed in Israeli air raids that targeted two homes in the Tal as-Sultan and al-Salam neighbourhoods of Rafah Saturday.

In the central Gaza Strip, three Palestinians were killed and many others wounded as a result of continued raids and artillery shelling by Israeli forces

At least a dozen Palestinians were killed this afternoon in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, as Israel’s onslaught in the region continues for the seventh month, according to local and medical reports.

In northern Gaza, medical sources reported the killing of six Palestinians and injuries to many more in the wake of an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Faluja area in Jabalia refugee camp.

Simultaneously, three civilians were killed and 30 others were wounded as Israeli shelling targeted the northern areas of the Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The Israeli artillery also struck southern areas of Gaza City.

In the meantime, medical sources confirmed the killing of Dr. Mu’in Sa’ed, a medical doctor, and the injury of his son after their clinic was bombed by Israeli occupation forces in Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Medical sources reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Radwan family, in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of nine people, including six children and women.

Simultaneously, a civilian was killed in the bombing by Israeli warplanes of a house east of the city of Rafah. At least one missile targeted two lands in the Al-Brahma and Al-Shaout neighborhoods, and its artillery fired a number of shells towards the border areas of the city.

The Israeli fighter jets targeted, with several missiles, the Al-Zaytoun and Tal Al-Hawa neighborhoods in Gaza City, causing massive and significant damage to the neighboring homes and buildings.

The Israeli warplanes bombed a residential square in the Al-Dawa neighborhood, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, belonging to the Al-Gharabli, Al-Nabahin, Abu Marahil, Al-Sayyid, and Al-Qassas families.

Israeli naval boats fired machine guns at the seashore of the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli airstrikes hit a house near the eastern cemetery in the Salam neighborhood of Rafah, resulting in the killing of Rana Walid Al-Riyati, a Palestinian woman, and injuring several others.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces targeted a house belonging to the Arja family in Rafah and another house in the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City.

According to Israeli government 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on 7 October in southern Israel and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
