(The Muslim News): 176 Palestinians have been killed and 286 others were injured by indiscriminate Israeli Defence Forces’ bombings in Gaza Strip in the last 48 hours, according to the Health Ministry. This has led to the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since 7 October to 35,562 and 79,652 others injured, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave, said.

Nearly 40 per cent of Gaza’s population have been displaced over the past two weeks, many of whom have already been displaced multiple times.
Health Cluster warns of a further surge in malnutrition and communicable diseases due to large scale displacement towards areas that lack food, water and other basic necessities.

The Ministry of Health appeals for support to address acute shortages of medications.

Israeli bombardment from the air, land, and sea continues to be reported across much of the Gaza Strip, resulting in further civilian casualties, displacement, and destruction of houses and other civilian infrastructure. Ground incursions and heavy fighting also continue to be reported, especially in Jabalya and eastern Rafah, reports OCHA.

Israeli strikes killed 18 Palestinians in northern Gaza’s Jabalia and Beit Lahiya.

At least 13 people have been killed in Israeli attacks as fighter jets continue to pound northern Gaza’s ravaged Jabalia refugee camp, according to an Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent and the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

They said at least five other Palestinians have been killed in an attack that targeted a home in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahiya. Several others were wounded in the attack.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reports that two people were killed when Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd near a checkpoint on the Netzarim axis in the Gaza Strip.

The Netzarim axis is a line set up by the Israeli army separating north Gaza from south Gaza, across which the majority of civilians have not been allowed to cross. The return of internally displaced residents to their homes in north Gaza has long been a demand of Hamas in its negotiations with Israel for a ceasefire and the return of Israeli captives held in the Strip.

Video verified by Al Jazeera and posted on Instagram by a Palestinian journalist shows the arrival of the bodies of the two people killed at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

Four civilians were killed tonight in an Israeli air raid launched by the Israeli occupation on the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

WAFA correspondent reported that the Israeli warplanes bombed a house of the Qandil family in Sabra neighborhood, resulting in the killing of four citizens.

Local sources said that Israeli artillery stationed in the “Netzarim” axis, south of Gaza City, fired shells at the eastern areas of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Yesterday, three people were killed, according to Al-Baptist Hospital, as a result of an Israeli aircraft bombing on the vicinity of Sheikh Zakaria Mosque in Al-Daraj neighborhood in central Gaza City.

The Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on a house in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Three Palestinians were killed, and others were injured, when Israeli aircraft bombed a house owned by Al-Attar family in Abu Iskandar area in Sheikh Al-Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation artillery bombed the eastern areas of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, coinciding with Apache warplanes firing at Jabalia camp in the north.

Six Palestinians were killed as a result of the Israeli forces targeting a residential apartment owned by Labad family in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

He added that the warplanes launched a raid on Abraj al-Qastal area, east of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, and targeted a house east of the Bureij camp.

In the south, the Israeli occupation warplanes targeted a residential apartment belonging to Khafaja family in Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, west of the city of Rafah, killing one man, his wife and their 15-month-old daughter.

WAFA correspondent pointed out that the Israeli gunboats fired several shells and opened fire with machine guns off the coast of Rafah.

The Israeli artillery bombed the outskirts of the town of Al-Qarara, north of the city of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of Palestinians were killed and others injured on Sunday in a series of Israeli raids across all governorates of the Gaza Strip.

In the northern Gaza Strip, medical sources told Anadolu that “more than 40 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded in three massacres committed by the occupation on Saturday night in northern Gaza, some of them arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital, and others are still under the rubble.”

In the central Gaza Strip, medical sources confirmed to Anadolu that “the director of the Central Governorate Investigations, Zaher Hamid Al-Houli, and his colleague Jihad Al-Hamidi were killed in an Israeli attack on the city of Deir Al-Balah.”

Also, at least 20 Palestinians, mostly children and women, were killed and dozens of others were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential area at the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Sunday.

The Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported medical and civil defense teams recovered the bodies of at least 20 people from beneath the rubble of the targeted homes.

Israeli warplanes also targeted Palestinians in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing three Palestinians and injuring several others, said medical sources.

In Gaza City, medical sources at the Baptist Hospital said six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombing of a house on Jaffa Street in the Daraj neighborhood, east of the city.

Two Palestinians were also killed and others were injured as a result of a bombing that targeted a school housing displaced people in the center of Gaza City, they added.

The Israeli army continues its military operation against Rafah, which began on May 6, disregarding regional and international warnings about its repercussions.

According to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), the operation in Rafah has forcibly displaced over 630,000 people to Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

At least 20 Palestinians, mostly children and women, were killed and dozens of others were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential area at the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported medical and civil defense teams recovered the bodies of at least 20 people from beneath the rubble of the targeted homes.

Meanwhile, Israel detained 8,800 Palestinians since Oct 7 according to Prisoner rights groups.

The Commission for Detainees’ Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society and the Addameer Association for Human Rights have said that this toll includes:

293 women
620 children
75 journalists

More than 5,900 who were served administrative detention orders.

The organisations said that the period since October 7 has seen an increase in the brutal tactics exercised by Israeli prison authorities, including humiliation, assault and beatings, as well as threats against detainees and their families.

“Eighteen detainees were martyred in Israeli prisons and military camps since October 7,” the groups said.

The data does not include detainees from Gaza, “due to the occupation’s refusal to provide any information about numbers and fate, and the continuation of forced disappearance in their case”.

According to the Israeli government, 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on October 7 in southern Israel, and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
