Palestine: Nine Palestinians have been killed since Saturday in the West Bank raising the death toll to 240 since Oct 7.
A Palestinian was killed late on Monday-Tuesday by Israeli military gunfire west of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated in a press release, “we have received the body of a martyr at the Palestine Medical Complex from the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah.”
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that the Israeli army stormed the town of Beitunia, firing live ammunition and tear gas at dozens of Palestinians shortly before the release of the fourth batch of prisoners as part of the prisoner swap deal with Hamas.
The witnesses indicated that violent clashes erupted, during which several Palestinians were injured.
Earlier on Sunday dawn, Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian in Yitma village, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, reports imemc.org.
Media sources said several army vehicles invaded the village, leading to protests before the soldiers fired many live rounds.
The sources said the soldiers shot Odai Misbah Snobar, 30, with a live round in the face, causing very serious wounds and extensive bleeding.
Palestinian medics rushed the seriously wounded young man to a hospital in Nablus, where he succumbed to his serious wounds.
Also at dawn, Sunday, the soldiers renewed their bombing in the city, when a drone fired a missile at a Palestinian home in the Al-Damj neighborhood in the Jenin refugee camp, killing Asaad Ali Al-Damj, 33, and injured five others, including three women.
On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinians, Ammar Abu Al-Wafa, 21, Ahmad Abu Al-Haija, 20, Mahmoud Khaled Abu Al-Haija, 17, and Mohammad Mahmoud Freihat, 27, and wounded six others in Jenin, in the northern West Bank.
Furthermore, the soldiers killed Mohammad Riyad Saleh, 20, near the illegal Psagot colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands in the Jabal Al-Tawil area in the Jabal At-Tawil area in the Al-Biereh city, in the Ramallah and Al-Biereh governorate in the central part of the occupied West Bank.
On Saturday morning, Israeli soldiers invaded Qabatia town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, leading to protests, before killing a Palestinian doctor Dr. Shamekh Kamal Abu Ar-Rob, 25, and wounding his brother and another young man
Since Oct. 7, Israel has detained 3,260 Palestinians in the West Bank.
Meanwhile in Gaza, Gaza authorities have announced death toll from Israeli attacks now tops 15,000, and 7,000 people are still missing under the rubble of Gaza Strip. Those killed includeds 6,150 children, 4,000 women
The statement noted that among the dead Palestinians are 207 medical staffers, 26 members of civil defense rescue teams, and 70 journalists.
