Palestine: 4 more Palestinians killed by Israeli army in West Bank

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA): Three Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in a targeted assassination on Thursday in the West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Ministry of Health. A 14-year-old boy died of wounds he sustained on Tuesday from Israeli fire during a raid in Jenin, the ministry said in a statement
A ministry statement said three young men were killed in the town of Jaba in Jenin. It identified the men as Sufyan Fakhoury, 26, Nayef Malaisha, 25 and Ahmed Fashafsha, 22.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli forces opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle in al-Fawwara area in the town, killing its three occupants.
They said Israeli forces sneaked into the town in a car carrying a Palestinian plate.
The Israeli army deployed snipers on the rooftops of houses in the town and detained a Palestinian amide clashes with gunmen, according to an Anadolu reporter.
Another Palestinian was injured by Israeli fire in al-Yamoun town, near Jenin, the Ministry of Health said.
A 14-year-old boy Walid Sa’ad Daoud Nassar, died of wounds he sustained on Tuesday from Israeli fire during a raid in Jenin, the ministry said in a statement.
Palestinian medics tried to reach the wounded child, but the soldiers did not allow them to reach him and later moved him to Hadassah Israeli medical center in Jerusalem.
The child was shot after the soldiers invaded Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, killed six young men, and injured at least twenty-six, including three who suffered critical injuries.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry termed the new Israeli escalation as “terrorism” and held the Israeli government responsible for its consequences.
Thursday’s deaths came two days after six Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces during a raid in Jenin.
The Israeli army frequently carries out raids in Palestinian towns in the West Bank to arrest what the military calls “wanted” Palestinians.
At least 78 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the start of this year, according to Palestinian figures.
With the rise of the three young men in Jaba, and death of young boy in Jenin, the death toll since the beginning of this year has risen to 78, including 14 children and one woman, killed by Israeli forces and paramilitary Israeli settlers.
14 Israelis were killed by Palestinian fighters and unknown assailants during that same time period.
