Israel continued its bombings in Gaza Strip killing at least 28 more Palestinians in the last 24 hours, bringing total number of Palestinians killed since October 2023 to 51,305, the Health Ministry said.

A ministry statement said that 105 more injured people were also transferred to hospitals, taking the number of injuries to 117,096 in the Israeli onslaught.

A medical source said eight people lost their lives when an Israeli warplane hit a home in the Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, reported Anadolu Agency.

Ten people were also killed in a strike that targeted a school sheltering displaced people in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeastern Gaza City, according to the Civil Defense.

The Israeli army later admitted to targeting the school, claiming it was used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Also in Jabalia town, a medical source told Anadolu that a child was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a home, along with several others injured.

In southern Gaza, the army killed two Palestinians and injured several others in two separate strikes in eastern Khan Younis and Al-Mawasi in the city’s western area, a medical source said.

One more Palestinian was killed and five others were injured in another strike on a tent in Al-Mawasi area, the source added.

Five people were also injured in a strike that hit a tent for displaced people in Bani Suhaila town in eastern Khan Younis, witnesses said.

The Israeli army also opened heavy machine-gun fire toward residential areas in eastern Gaza City, as well as on the eastern areas of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Rescue teams know at least six more victims remain trapped beneath the rubble in Gaza City, but they are unable to reach them, reported Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud from the city.

“It’s not just their inability to get to the area,” he said. “They lack the heavy equipment needed to remove the rubble and recover the bodies.”

A young Palestinian man sustained critical injuries from Israeli soldiers’ live ammunition during a military raid on the al-Masaken al-Sha’biyya area, east of Nablus, local sources reported.

The sources indicated that the individual was struck in the chest, and his condition was described as critical.

Israeli forces stormed the area, firing a barrage of live gunfire, tear gas, and sound bombs, leading to confrontations that resulted in the severe injury of the young man.

Meanwhile, in West Bank, a twelve-year-old Palestinian boy was killed after being shot by Israeli forces in the town of Yamoun west of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, according to the Ministry of Health, reported Wafa News Agency.

The ministry identified the victim as 12-year-old Mahmoud Mithqal Ali Abu al-Haijja, who succumbed to critical wounds he sustained after being struck by Israeli forces’ live ammunition.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its crews transported the child, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the cheek and abdomen, from al-Hadaf Medical Center in Yamoun to Jenin Governmental Hospital.

For about a month, Israeli forces have been conducting extensive land-leveling operations on lands belonging to residents of the villages of Jinsafut and Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya.

Jalal Bashir, head of the Jinsafut village council, told WAFA that the occupation forces are continuing their land-leveling operations in the eastern area of Jinsafut village, with the aim of paving a wide colonial road linking the Israeli illegal settlements located east of Qalqilya city with its northern surroundings.

He emphasized that the new settlers road will pass through the main Qalqilya-Nablus road, known as “55,” and will connect the settlements located on Jinsafut village lands: Immanuel, Qarni Shomron, and Qedumim.

For his part, Louay Taym, head of the village council in Al-Funduq, stated that the project will destroy at least 220 dunams of fertile agricultural land, owned by approximately 70 farmers. It will also threaten approximately 200 additional dunams due to their location adjacent to the colonial bypass road, rendering them unusable for agricultural or residential use.

He explained that the project’s implementation has led to the closure of several agricultural roads that facilitated farmers’ access to their lands in a short time. This has increased the farmers’ suffering and made it more difficult for them to access the remaining lands.

Yemen’s Houthi [Ansar Allah] group on Wednesday claimed to have launched missile and drone attacks on Israeli targets, including a hypersonic ballistic missile strike on Haifa amid rising regional escalation over the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, reported AA.

Military spokesman Yahya Saree said Houthi forces fired a hypersonic ballistic missile at a “vital target” in Haifa in northern Israel.

He said the missile hit its target, with Israeli air defenses failing to intercept it.

The Houthi spokesman said another “vital target” was targeted by a drone in the Jaffa area near Tel Aviv.

He said the attacks were in a show of support for Palestinians against the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.

Israeli media confirmed that air-raid sirens sounded in Haifa and Western Galilee in northern Israel.

The daily Yedioth Ahronoth, citing a military statement, said a missile was intercepted by Israeli air defenses, without giving details.

The Houthis have targeted ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden since November 2023 in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The group halted attacks when a ceasefire in Gaza was declared in January between Israel and the Hamas, but resumed them after Israel renewed airstrikes on the enclave last month.
