GAZA

Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed at least 26 more Palestinians in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll from Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023 to 50,695, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.

A ministry statement said that 113 more injured people were also transferred to hospitals, taking the number of injuries to 115,338 in the Israeli onslaught.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

A medical source said that three people lost their lives in an airstrike that targeted the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Two more people were killed and several others injured when Israeli fighter jets hit a home near Ain Jalut School in the Zeitoun neighborhood in the same city, he added.

Artillery shelling also killed two more people in the Salam neighborhood in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, the source said.

Warplanes also struck a house in the southern city of Khan Younis, leaving eight people dead, another medical source said.

One more Palestinian was killed in another strike targeting a group of civilians in the Qizan Raswan area in southern Khan Younis.

A Palestinian child was killed and several people were injured in Israeli shelling of a tent sheltering displaced people in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. Another person was killed and four others were wounded in artillery shelling in Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis.

According to witnesses, Israeli forces continued to demolish residential buildings in northern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

WEST BANK

A Palestinian child was killed and two others injured on Sunday evening by gunfire from the Israeli army and an illegal Israeli settler in Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the General Authority for Civil Affairs, the Palestinian liaison with Israel, informed it of “the martyrdom of Omar Mohamed Saada Rabie, 14, by occupation forces’ bullets in Turmus Ayya.”

In a separate statement, the ministry reported “the arrival of a critically injured child and another with minor wounds to the Istishari Hospital in Ramallah, after an illegal Israeli settler opened fire on them in the same town.”

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, Israeli forces and illegal settlers have intensified attacks across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, killing 945 Palestinians, injuring around 7,000, and arresting over 15,800, according to official Palestinian figures.

Al Aqsa Mosque

More than 500 illegal Israeli settlers forced their way into the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, Palestinian authorities said.

The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that the settlers entered the site under heavy protection from Israeli forces.

Witnesses said that Israeli police personnel were seen stationed inside the compound during the settler intrusion.

Illegal Israeli settlers intensified their raids into the Al-Aqsa complex ahead of the week-long Jewish holiday of Passover, which starts on April 12.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, illegal settlers raided the mosque 21 times last month, when Muslims celebrated the holy month of Ramadan.

Figures released by the Jerusalem governor showed that 13,064 illegal settlers had stormed the mosque in the first quarter of 2025.

Since 2003, Israel has allowed illegal settlers into the flashpoint compound almost on a daily basis with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the world’s third-holiest site for Muslims. Jews call the area the “Temple Mount,” claiming it was the site of two Jewish temples in ancient times.

Israel occupied East Jerusalem, where Al-Aqsa is located, during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. It annexed the entire city in 1980 in a move never recognized by the international community.

LEBANON

The Lebanese army announced on Sunday evening that two Lebanese civilians were killed when Israel targeted a bulldozer during land reclamation work near Zibqin, a town in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.

The army also dismissed Israel’s claims of striking military assets linked to Hezbollah.

In a statement, the Lebanese army said: “Amid repeated Israeli enemy attacks, a bulldozer and excavator were targeted during land reclamation efforts near Zibqin, leading to the martyrdom of two citizens.”

It confirmed that “no military assets were present at the site,” rejecting Israeli military claims of targeting Hezbollah members.

Earlier Sunday, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed on X that “an air force plane struck two Hezbollah operatives working with an engineering vehicle in the Zibqin area,” claiming that they were “attempting to rebuild terrorist infrastructure linked to Hezbollah.”

A fragile ceasefire had been in place in Lebanon since November, ending months of cross-border warfare between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, which escalated into a full-scale conflict last September.

Lebanese authorities reported more than 1,385 Israeli violations of the ceasefire, including at least 119 fatalities and more than 366 injuries.

Under the ceasefire deal, Israel was supposed to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon by Jan. 26, but the deadline was extended to Feb. 18 after it refused to comply. It still maintains a military presence at five border outposts.

An Israeli drone struck a car and bulldozer in southern Lebanon on Sunday, in the latest violation of a ceasefire agreement, Lebanese media said.

The state news agency NNA said that injuries were reported in the attack that hit near the town of Zibqin in Tyre.

The Israeli army confirmed the attack, claiming that the strike targeted two Hezbollah operatives in the area.

YEMEN

US warplanes launched five fresh airstrikes in Yemen’s coastal province of Al-Hudaydah on Sunday, the Houthi[Ansar Allah] group said.

The Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said that the strikes targeted Kamaran Island in the province, without providing any details about injuries or damage.

There was no immediate confirmation from the US of the report.

Kamaran is the largest Yemeni island in the Red Sea and an administratively part of Al-Hudaydah, a major Yemeni province with three important ports and a long coastline.

Last month, US President Donald Trump said that he had ordered “decisive and powerful military action” against the Houthis and later threatened to “completely annihilate them.”

The Houthis have targeted ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden since November 2023 in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where more than 50,600 people have been killed in a brutal Israeli assault.
