Gaza: 90 Palestinians killed, 177 injured by Israeli bombardment last 24 hours

Gaza City (Wafa, Al Jazeera): According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 90 Palestinians were killed and 177 others injured by Israeli indiscriminate bombing in Gaza in the last 24 hours. The ongoing Israeli bombings in Gaza strip since 7 October has killed 30,410 Palestinians including 8,860 women and 13,230 children and 71,700 others injured including 8,663 children. 8,500 Palestinians are missing.

Eight Palestinian civilians were killed and others sustained injuries today in an Israeli airstrike targeting the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to witnesses.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a civilian vehicle in Deir al-Balah, leading to the killing of eight civilians and the injury of several others.

In a devastating airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes last night, a three-story house in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, was targeted, resulting in the killing of dozens of civilians, including six children. Many are still trapped under the rubble, according to local sources.

The sources confirmed the murder of 14 civilians in the airstrike which targeted the Abu Anza family house in the Al-Salam neighborhood east of Rafah, with dozens more wounded and many still missing. The attack also caused extensive damage to the surrounding area.

Meantime, in Khan Yunis, also in the south of the enclave, the Israeli occupation military executed intense bombings from the air and artillery north of the city. This assault coincided with the advancement of Israeli military vehicles towards Hamad City neighborhood, located north of the province, targeting residential homes with shells and gunfire.

Further casualties were reported in the north and central Gaza Strip. An airstrike targeted a home in the center of Jabalia refugee camp, leading to several civilians killed and injured. Additionally, a group of civilians in the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip were targeted, resulting in multiple injuries.

Later in the early morning, another Israeli airstrike targeted a house in northern Gaza City, resulting in several casualties. Medical sources in Gaza reported at least four Palestinians were killed and several others injured following the targeting of the Kahlout family home on Al-Saftawi Street north of Gaza City.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 15 children have died in the past few days from malnutrition and dehydration at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza City hours after UNICEF chief warned of acute malnutrition territory.

The majority of those killed were women and children, reports Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing local sources, after Israeli forces bombed a house where displaced Palestinians were sheltering in Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza refugee camp.

The Israeli military, in the last hours, targeted a cemetery in the Jabalia refugee camp that was recently built by the residents of the repeatedly bombed area in northern Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif confirmed that the cemetery was hit.

Videos and reports from the site indicate that human remains came out of the soil as a result of the explosion, and residents are trying to bury them again at another site.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza says Israeli forces “committed a horrific massacre” in southern Gaza City against people waiting for aid distribution. Dozens of people were killed and wounded, the statement said.

The Israeli military has targeted people waiting for flour trucks near the Kuwaiti roundabout in Gaza City.

The Ministry of Health says dozens of people have been killed and injured.

It seems that the Israeli military is right now targeting people who are waiting desperately for food, for anything to survive.

No new humanitarian convoys can be allowed to get to the north without any prior coordination with the Israeli military.

And at the same time, Israel’s full control over the ground means that they control what goes in and what comes out now.

Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, says via a statement that Israeli forces “committed a horrific massacre” in southern Gaza City, near the Kuwaiti roundabout on Salah al-Din Street.

“Israeli occupation forces are carrying out systematic genocide crimes targeting hundreds of thousands of hungry stomachs in northern Gaza,” the statement reads.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 15 children have died from malnutrition and dehydration at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza City.

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has confirmed that Israeli tanks deliberately ran over dozens of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Geneva-based organisation has documented the Israeli army killing a Palestinian man who was deliberately run over in the Zeitoun neighbourhood in Gaza City on February 29 after he was arrested and his hands were tied with plastic handcuffs.

Another documented incident took place on January 23, when an Israeli tank ran over a family sleeping in a shelter caravan in the Taiba Towers area in Khan Younis, leading to the death of a man and his eldest daughter, and the injury to his remaining three children and wife.

Yesterday, the occupation forces also targeted a group of citizens who were waiting for the arrival of humanitarian aid near al-Nabulsi roundabout, killing one citizen and injuring 26 others.

According to Israeli government 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on 7 October in southern Israel and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
