Gaza: 72 Palestinians killed, 129 injured by Israeli attacks last 24 hours

London, (The Muslim News): According to Ministry of Health (MoH), 72 Palestinians were killed and 129 others injured by indiscriminate bombing by Israeli forces in Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours. At least 31,184 Palestinians have been killed of whom 72 percent are women and children, and 72,889 injured by Israeli forces attacks in Gaza since 7 October, according to MoH in Gaza.

Medical sources said that seven civilians, including five children, were killed, and six others were injured, after the occupation bombed a house owned by Al-Saqqa family in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

At least eleven people were killed when Israeli forces again targeted aid seekers in Gaza.

WAFA correspondent said that the Israeli warplanes launched three raids targeting homes in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, killing 10 people and injuring about 20 others.

He added that the Israeli artillery bombed areas in the Al-Sabra, Sheikh Ajlin, and Tal Al-Hawa neighborhoods in Gaza City, killing at least three Palestinians, who were transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Four Palestinians were killed and others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed two houses in Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, accompanied by artillery shelling on Palestinian homes.

In the middle of the Strip, Israeli air force launched a series of raids on Deir al-Balah, the Nuseirat camp, al-Bureij, and al-Maghazi, killing a number of Palestinians and injuring others.

Medical sources said eight Palestinians were killed, including a number of missing persons, as a result of the Israeli bombing of a house owned by Abu Sinjar family in Deir al-Balah.

East of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip, Israeli air force bombed a house in the town of Bani Suhaila, while a second raid targeted the city center, which killed and wounded a number of Palestinians.

In the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, warplanes destroyed an entire residential square in the area, killing 11 civilians.

In Rafah, another Israeli raid targeted a house in El Geneina neighborhood, while other areas were bombed near shelter centers and tents for displaced people.

Dozens of Palestinian civilians were killed and injured on Tuesday dawn following intense bombardment by Israeli warplanes and artillery shelling on various areas in the Gaza Strip, on the 158th day of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Health sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip said that nine people were killed and more than 20 were wounded after the occupation targeted masses at the Kuwait Junction in Gaza City, as they were waiting for aid to arrive.

A number of people were also injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house in the Saudi neighborhood, west of the city of Rafah.

Artillery shelling targeted the eastern areas of Abasan Al Kabira and Khuza’a in Khan Yunis, resulting in the killing and injury of a number of Palestinians.

Israel and Hamas are not close to a deal to halt the fighting in Gaza and free captives, mediator Qatar says, warning that the situation remained ‘very complicated’, reported Al Jazeera.

The World Health Organisation chief said an aid mission managed to reach al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza, bringing food and medical supplies, as the Health Ministry says 2,000 medical workers in the north face famine.

In a letter to the US President, independent Senator Bernie Sanders and seven Democrats say that by continuing to arm Israel, Biden is violating the Foreign Assistance Act, which bars military support from going to any nation that restricts the delivery of humanitarian aid.

“We urge you to make it clear to the Netanyahu government that failure to immediately and dramatically expand humanitarian access and facilitate safe aid deliveries throughout Gaza will lead to serious consequences, as specified under existing US law,” the senators wrote.

According to Israeli government 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on 7 October in southern Israel and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
