Gaza: 33 Palestinians killed, 145 injured by Israeli bombings last 24 hours

London, (The Muslim News): At least 33 more Palestinians were killed and 145 others were injured in Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate attacks in the Gaza Strip, pushing up the overall number of Palestinians killed to 40,972 and injured around 94,761 since last Oct. 7, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Sunday.

“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

A correspondent for Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that a child was killed, and several other people wounded, when the Israeli army bombed a house in the Tuffah neighbourhood of eastern Gaza City, in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Those who were wounded in the attack, which was carried out by Israeli army artillery units, were transferred to the Baptist Hospital, according to paramedics cited by Wafa.

It was a very bloody attack carried out by Israeli fighter jets, that had launched a strike using three missiles that completely destroyed a number of residences, including houses and a tower, in the southern part of the Gaza city of Khan Younis

At least two Palestinians have been confirmed killed, including a woman and her daughter. The attack also left a great deal of destruction. Rubble is scattered around the site of the strike, where families around the neighbouring area are going through shock and fear due to the strike.

Khan Younis has been a focus of Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours. Witnesses have confirmed that Israeli quadcopters were used extensively to attack al-Mawasi. Families there have been trapped in a tiny patch of land after the Israeli military incursion of Rafah district.

A Palestinian child was killed and a number of others were injured on Sunday evening in an Israeli bombing east of Gaza City.

WAFA correspondent said that paramedics transferred a slain child and a number of wounded to the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, as a result of Israeli artillery shelling that targeted a house in Tuffah neighborhood east of the city.

Four Palestinians were killed on Sunday when the Israeli forces bombed a house in Sabra area, south of Gaza City.

Local sources reported that the Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to Qarout family in Sabra area near Al-Istijaba Mosque, which led to the killing of four Palestinians and the injury of others.

They added that the Israeli forces opened fire on a group of civilians in the town of Al-Shawka, east of the city of Rafah, south of the Strip, which led to the killing of two Palestinians.

The Israeli forces opened fire directly on ambulances while they were trying to retrieve injuries from the beach of Rafah, as the Israeli gunboats targeted the tents of the displaced on the beach, which led to the injury of a number of citizens.

Additionally, a woman and her daughter were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Manara neighborhood, southeast of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Four Palestinians were killed early this morning as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent reported that the four victims were from the same family and were killed when Israeli forces targeted their home in the Al-Alami area of the camp. The victims were transported to Kamal Adwan Hospital.

In addition, Israeli artillery fired shells at northern areas of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Four bodies were recovered from the bombed home of the Al-Fakhouri family in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, the Gaza Civil Defense Agency said in a statement.

Bodies of another two Palestinians killed in shelling of a residential building in southern Gaza City were brought to Al-Ahli Baptist hospital, a medical source told Anadolu.

Israeli military vehicles were advancing towards east of Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, firing artillery shells toward southern Al-Sabra neighborhood amid heavy gunfire, eyewitnesses said.

In northern Gaza, a medical source at the Indonesian Hospital told Anadolu that several injured people shot by Israeli helicopters in north of Beit Lahia were brought to the hospital.

An attack at the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge on the border between the occupied West Bank and Jordan killed three Israeli security guards.

In Israel, the number of those killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 is at least 1,139, while more than 200 people were taken captive.
