Gaza: 150 Palestinians were killed, 313 wounded by Israeli attacks in past 24 hours

London, (Agencies): 150 Palestinians were killed and 313 were wounded by Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, according to Health Ministry. This brings the number of Palestinians killed to 26,751, including 11,000 children, 7,500 women, and 65,636 injured. 8,000 Palestinians are missing.

At least nine civilians, including a child, were killed and several others injured over the last hours due to Israeli aerial and artillery strikes targeting residential areas across the Gaza Strip, reports Wafa news agency.

Palestinian officials accuse Israeli troops of killing at least 30 civilians “execution-style” after blindfolded bodies with hands bound are discovered in a mass grave in northern Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, Christian Aid, Global Justice Now, Oxfam and War on Want say that until the UK stops sending weapons to Israel, it is complicit in the “slaughter of innocent civilians taking place every day in Gaza”.

“The UK public have consistently and overwhelmingly supported a ceasefire, with more than seven in ten in favour according to recent polling, while fewer than one in five approve of the government’s handling of the conflict,” the aid groups said in a statement.

They also called on the UK government to “insist” that Israel abides by the provisional measures ordered by the ICJ last week, including taking steps to prevent acts of genocide in Gaza.

“A ceasefire was needed yesterday,” the groups’ statement added.

“We don’t know where they were injured or even their names,” Dr Omar Abu Taha tells Al Jazeera as Palestinians bury dozens of bodies, released by Israel, in Rafah.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops have stormed al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis and are demanding doctors and displaced Palestinians evacuate, the Palestine Red Crescent says.

Israel has repeated new evacuation orders for neighbourhoods in western Gaza City where 88,000 Palestinians had been living in shelters, the UN humanitarian agency (OCHA) has said.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society has released a video showing the burial of an infant girl and an elderly woman, aged 75, in the yard of al-Amal Hospital.

The organisation said the two died after oxygen had ran out in the medical facility.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on a residence in the Maghrebi neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of two individuals and the injury of others, reports Wafa.

Simultaneously, ongoing artillery shelling on the city of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip led to the killing of three civilians and left dozens more injured. The wounded were promptly transported to Kamal Adwan Hospital for medical treatment.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces targeted a vehicle north of the city of Rafah, south of the enclave, resulting in the tragic death of four civilians, including a child, and injuring others.

Additionally, dozens of civilians were injured as a result of Israeli forces targeting the Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City. The wounded were swiftly transferred to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for medical treatment.

Accoding to Israeli authorities 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas in southern Israel on 7 October, 2013. 136 Israeli and foreign nationals are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.
