39 more Palestinians have been killed by Israeli Defence Forces in the last 24 hours, leading to the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza Strip since October 2023 to 51,240, the Health Ministry of the enclave said on Monday.

The ministry added that 62 more were injured, increasing the total number of injuries since October 2023 to 116,931.

Some of the details reported by Anadolu Agency quoting medical sources, included three people were killed and several others injured when Israeli fighter jets hit a tent for displaced people in central Gaza City.

Two more people were injured in a drone strike on a group of civilians in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, the source added.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing medical sources, said that a Palestinian and his wife were killed in an Israeli strike on their tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

An Israeli warplane also struck a home in Khan Younis, killing five people and injuring several others, Wafa said.

Two more Palestinians were killed in another drone strike on a group of civilians in the Al-Manara neighborhood in southern Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army blew up several homes in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City, as it fired artillery shells on most of the city’s eastern areas, including Zeitoun and Shejaiya neighborhoods.

Nearly 600 children have been killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since last month, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) said on Monday.

Citing figures released by the UN children’s agency (UNICEF), UNRWA said that over 1,600 other children have also been injured since Israel resumed its assaults on March 18.

“The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is now likely at its worst point since October 2023,” it added.

The Israeli army resumed its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 1,864 people and injured nearly 4,900 others despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January.

Meanwhile in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces’ bulldozers demolished an agricultural room, a mobile home, and filled in a water well on Monday in the village of Deir Razih, south of Hebron, reported Wafa.

Human rights activist Raed Amro told Wafa that the occupation bulldozers demolished a mobile home belonging to a citizen from Al-Jamal family, and an agricultural room belonging to Al-Awawdeh family, in addition to filling in a water well belonging to the family.
