17 Palestinians killed in Gaza, 8 in West Bank by Israeli attacks last 24 hours
(The Muslim News): Israeli Defence Forces killed 17 more Palestinians and injured 56 others in indiscriminate bombings by in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll of Palestinians killed by Israelis since last Oct. 7 to 40,878, and injured 94,454, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said on Thursday.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.
In addition, 8 Palestinians killed in the West Bank.
An Israeli strike on a tent camp had killed four Palestinian men and wounded two children near the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central city of Deir el-Balah.
A woman who identified herself as Umm Mohammed Wadi said she was staying in a tent close to where the blast occurred. “What did they do to be struck while sleeping? No hospital is safe nor any school or home.”
The Israeli military said it carried out a precise attack on a command and control centre operated by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
At least 11 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in fresh Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to medical sources and witnesses.
Three people lost their lives when an Israeli drone struck near Zeitoun Martyrs School southeast of Gaza City, a medical source said.
Another Israeli strike on a tent for displaced people killed at least one person west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, the same source said.
Three more Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli strike targeting a group of civilians near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, the Civil Defense Agency said.
Several people were also reported injured in a drone strike on a sewing workshop inside a house north of Gaza City, the agency added.
Several residential buildings were also demolished by the Israeli army east of Gaza City and central Rafah in southern Gaza, witnesses said.ian officials say.
Local sources said that one Palestinian was killed and six others were injured when the Israeli army targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
He pointed out that citizen Samah Anwar Al-Dash ,25, was killed and her children were injured when the Israeil forces targeted the Al-Dash family home in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

A number of Palestinans were injured when a Quadcopter aircraft launched incendiary bombs on residents in Al-Nadim Street in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City.
Israeli artillery shelling targeted the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, while Israeli aircraft bombed a house in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, which resulted in a number of Palestinans being injured.
Meanwhile, Israel refused to coordinate the entry of medical teams for polio vaccination east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Thursday.
“This area contains a large percentage of the target group of children,” the ministry added in a statement.
The ministry appealed to relevant institutions “to urgently intervene to ensure the success of the vaccination campaign by reaching all children wherever they are.”
The second phase of a polio vaccination campaign for Palestinian children in southern Gaza began on Thursday.
More than 189,000 children were vaccinated in the first phase of the campaign in central Gaza.
“We started today the second phase of the polio vaccination campaign in Khan Younis city,” Dr. Abdul Hadi Seyam told Anadolu.
“The campaign targets children under the age of ten, and there is significant interest from parents in vaccinating their children against this serious disease,” Seyam added.
He further noted that medical teams are working with all their capabilities to vaccinate as many children as possible in the strip.
Meanwhile in the West Bank, a Palestinian minor was Wednesday killed after he was shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Far’a camp, south of Tubas.
The Red Crescent Society said that its crews were able to transfer Majed Fida Abu Zeina, 16, to the hospital, after the occupation forces prevented them from doing so earlier.
The Israeli forces, during their storming of the Far’a camp, had fired several bullets at Abu Zeina, abused him, and prevented the ambulance crews from reaching him, and dragged him out of the camp using a military bulldozer.
In conjunction with the storming of the Far’a camp, an Israeli march bombed a vehicle in the city of Tubas, which resulted in the killing of five young men.
Palestinian Ministry of Health said at least 39 people have been killed in the West Bank since August 28 when Israeli forces launched a large-scale incursion into several towns and cities.
At least 150 people have been wounded, it said.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed across the West Bank since October 7 to 691.
