Palestine: 13 Palestinians killed in 4 days in West Bank
(The Muslim News): A large Israeli army force invaded, in the early morning hours of Sunday, the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, killing a disabled Palestinian man and abducting nine young men. Thirteen Palestinians have been killed since Thursday in West Bank.
In the predawn hours of Sunday, at least one hundred military vehicles including a bulldozer stormed the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp.
The army was deployed in several neighborhoods, while several sharpshooters were positioned on the rooftops of citizens’ homes in several neighborhoods in the city, as flares lit up the night sky, reported imemc.org.
A military drone circled the skies of Jenin, while sirens wailed throughout the city as the army invaded, later an Apache helicopter was reported overhead.
Wissam Bakr, director of Jenin Governmental Hospital identified the slain man as Issam Hussein Al-Fayed, 46, who died after the army shot him at the entrance to the Jenin refugee camp.
The army detonated the doors of several homes, and ordered via loudspeakers that the Owais family evacuate their home in the “Khallet Al-Souha” area.
Among those the army abducted are Ahmed, Mahmoud, Raed, Khalil, Hamza, and Ismail Owais, in addition to the young man, Nimr Jamil Mar’i, whom they assaulted. It was added that a Palestinian woman, Umm Nidal Kaakban was detained for several hours before being released.
Meanwhile, six Palestinians were killed by Israeli army in the occupied West Bank early Saturday, according to a medical source and state media.
Five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone attack targeting the headquarters of the Palestinian group, Fatah, in the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus, the Palestinian state news agency, WAFA, reported.
Massive damage was reported in the area following the attack.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said earlier that seven victims were seriously injured in the attack and five later died at the hospital.
It said another Palestinian was seriously injured and later died during an Israeli military raid in Tubas in the northern West Bank.
Violent clashes erupted between Israeli forces and residents during the raid, according to witnesses.
Meanwhile on Friday. three Palestinians were killed and several others sustained injuries in the early hours of this morning as Israeli occupation forces targeted a group of people in Jenin refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank, with a drone strike.
Witnesses in the camp reported that an Israeli drone bombed a gathering of civilians in the Hawashin neighborhood of the refugee camp, resulting in the tragic murder of three individuals and leaving nine others wounded, some in critical condition.
The Israeli incursion into Jenin involved a significant military presence, including special units and armored bulldozers. The occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods of the city and the neighboring refugee camp, deploying snipers on the rooftops of several buildings.
During the raid, forces raided a residence in the Jabariyat neighborhood of the city, arresting several civilians and detonating several vehicles owned by the Rukh family. The military attack extended to the neighborhoods of Jabal Abu Dhuhair, Khallet al-Soha and the outskirts of Jenin refugee camp.
Caterpillar D9 bulldozers joining the Israeli troops also embarked on vandalizing infrastructure in the city and the entrances to the Jenin refugee camp, causing damage to streets and parked vehicles. Communication disruptions were reported as Israeli forces jammed signals in Jenin city and its camp, and electricity was cut off in several neighborhoods of the city. The Israeli military also besieged Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, interrogating paramedics and creating a tense situation in the area.

In addition, Israeli forces shot dead three Palestinian young men on Thursday morning after an alleged shooting at the “tunnel” military roadblock west of Beit Jala, northwest of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, in the West Bank.The three slain Palestinians are:

Eyewitnesses said that occupation forces stationed at the checkpoint fired live rounds at three young Palestinian men who were allegedly behind a shooting attack that led to six injuries, including one who later succumbed to serious wounds and two who were moderately injured.
After the incident, occupation forces imposed a strict siege on the area, closed the tunnel area and “Bypass Road 60”, deploying many soldiers at the eastern entrance to Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, and the road leading to Beit Jala.
Initially, the army announced that seven soldiers were shot, including one in serious condition, before announcing that he had succumbed to critical gunshot wounds.
Israeli daily Haaretz has confirmed that the six injured Israelis, including the one who died from serious wounds, were soldiers.
Soldiers later stormed the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, and abducted family members of the three Palestinian men accused of conducting the attack.
In a clear act of collective punishment, prohibited under international law, soldiers abducted the wife and son of Nasrallah Abdul-Afo Al-Qawasmi, after invading their home.
Meanwhile, soldiers abducted the wife of Abdullah Al-Qawasma in addition to their two sons, Salah, and Ayman.
Soldiers also abducted Sheikh Shafiq Al-Qawasma, the elderly mother of Abdul-Qader Al-Qawasma.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military onslaught on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.
More than 200 Palestinians have since been killed and over 2,700 injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
